Yoga Practice for Winter

This is the time of year when we can use yoga to help recuperate our energy levels, embracing a slower flow, but it is also essential to keep your muscles warm and stretch a little deeper into each pose helping to combat stress and fatigue.

Simple Asanas such as Downward Dog, Child’s Pose, Pigeon Pose and Warrior II held for just a few minutes can make all the difference and of course, Savasana (Corpse pose) is perfect for peaceful reflection particularly when covered in a warm blanket and perhaps a comfy pillow behind your head.

You can do any of these poses (or all of them) in just a few minutes at home in a warm room, perhaps light a candle or even some fairy lights to add to that cosy, intimate feeling.

Take your time, acknowledge the past and look forward to the Spring.

Kamakosha will be holding a very special Candlelight Winter Yoga Session on 17th December 2024 at The Studio above Attend2Health in Buntingford High Street. If you would like to find out more or book your place contact me on 07947 653380.

To find out more about the different types of yoga and how each can benefit your natural energy rhythms please contact me on 07947 653380 or email josie@kamakosha.co.uk . I’d love to hear from you.
